Young prostitutes are disappearing off the streets. They are nameless, faceless, anonymous and hard to trace. But no one really knew until a body was found floating in the Green River. She was a known prostitute who frequents the "Highway" where so many turn their tricks Another body appears and soon it is obvious that there is a serial killer at work. But how to find him, and stop him before it is too late?
Two young boys find a body floating in the waters of the Green River. Detective Josiah Waters has been assigned to investigate but how do you track these young women who don't carry ID's and use aliases each time they are arrested. Their pimps don't report them missing, they just move on and find another girl. The only ones who might know are the girls themselves and they're not talking.
Soon the body count has risen to four and Detective Josiah Waters realizes Seattle has yet another serial killer on its hands. This will be hard, serial killer investigations are long and drawn out and wind up to be very expensive.
But whoever he is, even if his victims are just pros, they are somebody's daughter and deserve justice. He knows he's going to have to fight the department, the system, and even his own dmons if he's going to solve this crime. And he's going to solve it if it's the last thing he ever does.
This story is being written for a Myster contest on Inkitt. Whether I will finish it ermains tobe seen. Based loosely, very loosely, on the Green River Murders investigation and brough into modern day Seattle--with a little poetic license.
